Jammu, Nov 4 (IANS) Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president and MP Mehbooba Mufti Tuesday said her party would decentralise power at the grass roots level in Jammu and Kashmir if voted to power.
During her campaigning in the Jammu region, Mufti addressed public meetings in the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch.

The PDP has fielded Tassaduq Hussain and Choudhary Zulfikar from two constituencies of Rajouri.

#39I assure you that if you vote the PDP to power with an absolute majority, we will get you the maximum powers at the grass roots level. Rajouri and Poonch will have hill development councils, #39 Mehbooba said underlining the basics of self-rule, part of the PDP #39s manifesto.

She said the development councils will be on the pattern of Leh and Kargil, where devlopmental affairs are undertaken by hill councils having special powers with access to funds and power to utilize them.

#39Keeping in view the backwardness and underdevelopment of these areas, we have a comprehensive and exclusive programme for the socio-economic development and political empowerment of the people of Poonch and Rajouri, #39 she said.

#39For the implementation of these programmes, PDP requires absolute majority in the coming assembly elections, #39 she added.

The PDP had won 16 seats in the 2002 polls and later formed a coalition government with the Congress which had 20 seats in the 87-member assembly.

The seven phased voting in Jammu and Kashmir begins Nov 17 and ends Dec 24. Counting of votes will take place Dec 28.

Sports Illustrated China: You once told us that you do not like losing, even when playing chess with your coach, so, are you still bearing that will in mind? Have you ever sensed the pressure caused by your will to win? How did you handle that?
Ana: Its not easy to lose, thats for sure! I am a very positive person and I try not to get too down, but sometimes I cry after a match, because there are always so many emotions inside, but then about an hour later I am feeling a lot better.

Regarding pressure, I used to put too much pressure on myself because of the rankings. I wanted so much to reach the top 10, and that stopped me from playing my best tennis, because I was thinking about it too much. The way I improved was to forget about the rankings and focus only on my game, and that way the results, and the ranking, comes automatically.

Sports Illustrated China: Ms. Arantxa Sanchez Vicario said that it was because she is a fighter that made her perfect. Would you label yourself a fighter too? What did the war-time in your country mean to your outstanding personality?
Yes, I am definitely a fighter. Ive won some tough matches when I wasnt playing well, just by fighting and being determined not to lose.

I think that all the experiences I went through growing up with the war and not having good facilities to train in, they all made me more determined to succeed.

BQ: Now that you have visited China twice, what impression do you have of Beijing?
Ana: I can see that sport is important to the Chinese people, and they are very enthusiastic about it. I have been very impressed by the organization at the China Open, so I can also see that the Chinese are reliable people who know what they are doing. I love Asian food, so I have been enjoying eating here too.

BQ: Why did you choose to learn Spanish?
Ana: I have always enjoyed visiting Spain and Latin America. I trained there a little bit some years ago, before I turned professional, and I really enjoyed playing tournaments in South America. I love the latin way of life: it is very relaxed, and I also like that the people are very family-orientated, like me.

In my head, I had written the most eloquent non-mommy blog post about clothes and shopping. I was going to use delicious words to describe my wardrobe staples. Items that I have searched high and low for in the last decade. The sexy pencil skirt, the little black dress, the most perfect pair of jeans, and other necessary items that I love.

Anyone interested in fashion can appreciate the effort that goes into acquiring staples to complete a well rounded wardrobe. I don't just shop for the sake of shopping. I really do not shop often. I shop, on a mission, to buy that one perfect item that will compliment my collection.

My latest mission. To find a pair of skinny jeans to match the boots I bought in May. I admit. Sometimes, on my mission, I get distracted and find other things. Like the world's cutest sweat suit, it was calling my name. And the most adorable quilted jacket for winter, it was so happy to see me. But I did not purchase the classy black cocktail dress or the new leopard print ballet flats and I didn't even go near the jewelery. I did finally find the skinny jeans to match my boots.

Mission accomplished.

I was going to describe the thrill of finding such delicious staples. How I felt as I slipped on those skinny jeans and twirled around, how I marveled at the delicate gold zipper on the quilted jacket, and drooled over the plushness of the velour sweat suit. The scrumptious words danced around in my head. Finding clothes that perfectly complete my wardrobe is one of my nirvanas.

No where in my post was I going to mention being a mommy and no where in my post was I going to use the words diapers, toddler, and trouble.

I really do like the whole spa thing. I mean, I think people should go to treat themselves and relax. I especially liked being able to go on Auntie K's dime (for the most part, which I'll get to later) last Friday. My friend Mackenzie and I had a day away, spending time together and having an experience that's rare. For us anyway. And unique. And sometimes very funny. We learned that we're maybe not the classiest ladies, or all that smart. But it was still great. We'll laugh about it for a long time.
Because,
First of all, I have a cold. I coughed a lot during the massage. Peggy the masseuse, who seemed a bit overly focused on rubbing my thighs for really extended periods of time, had to stop to ask me what was going on. Because you see, Peggy the masseuse was one of those 'rub lightly' massage therapists. (Which makes me giggle more than it relieves the tightness in my back.) Peggy was never too sure if I was stifling my coughs, or my laughs. Poor Peggy.

So this is what happened in my head: Ugh, the tickle in my throat...ugh. What is she doing? When will she move OFF my leg? I wonder where Mackenzie is? Oh, I think my nose is gonna drip...STOP RUBBING MY THIGH!! MY LEGS ARE NOT FEELING THE TENSION LADY!!! MY NECK? MY SHOULDERS? MY COMPLETELY NUMB MIDDLE BACK? YES! TENSION GALORE! PLEASE DIG YOUR THUMBS AND KNUCKLES INTO MY BACK NOW BEFORE I STOP GIGGLING AND START SCREAMING MY FACE OFF!!!! (or something like that)

No, I didn't say any of that out loud. Of course not. I just used my usual tactic of saying nothing when I should probably just speak up and say something normal like, "you can go ahead and work a little more on my back." How hard is that? What is my problem? Anyway, I digress...

Surprisingly, Peggy and I had only one awkward exchange in conversation when I kept trying to stifle my uncontrollable cough, the one that would make my whole body shake as she rubbed (and rubbed and rubbed) my thigh. Finally she stopped, sighed and said, "are you coughing or am I tickling you again?"

"I'm fine, thank you. ha."

So anyway, that was the massage. Roughly 50 minutes of mostly leg rubbing, and stifled coughs and giggles. When Peggy said, "I'm finished, please be careful as you stand, you may be dizzy," I almost burst out laughing. Yes, I'll be dizzy. Or maybe my legs will just give out. Cause they're confused. They've never been rubbed so much in their lives.

In between things, I made a fool of myself again by asking if I could go potty. Who says that at the spa? Oh. ME. I forgot myself for a moment there and pretended I was talking to my kids. It's not that often I'm in a place with only adults.

My coolness improved slightly after the bathroom break. Sort of. I was on to the facial and it was great. So relaxing. It was my first, but I pretended I totally knew what was going on. I didn't even say anything stupid. But my eyes were doing something stupid. For some reason they were very jumpy, twitching and hopping like a reflex. I couldn't stop them. Bounce bounce bounce. I don't get it. I'm sure Nice Facial Lady was wondering what I'm on, but what was I to do? I tried hard to focus on keeping them still by trying to pretend like my eyeballs were stuck to my eyelids, but it just made it worse. So I finally decided I would just be Weird Eye Lady to Nice Facial Lady and move on.

And move on I did. To hair cut and color with Katie The Rocker/Biker Chick Stylist with the Thickest Minnesotan Accent Ever. Confusing combo. But actually quite endearing. Wow, the energy and excitement in that girl! When I met Katie, we talked at length about colors for my hair. I kept saying I didn't care, I trusted Biker Chick Katie, I was willing to do something new. It took her a very long time to decide. And then a very long time to mix colors. And then a very long time to foil my hair. Katie Rocker and I spent many hours together. Luckily Mackenzie was nearby, reading The Shack while having her hair foiled, tears streaming down her cheeks. Yes, we are so cool.

When all was said and done, my hair turned out much trendier than I am. Which is sort of fun and also very funny. Mackenzie left the salon with bangs, for the first time in her life. I think she was in shock. Especially because Biker Katie looked over at her stylist and said, "don't you think you should thin out the bangs? They look like one big chunk." Greeeaaat. I've never seen Mackenzie with such a lack of confidence on her face in all of our years of friendship. She looked like she was going to cry (again), but she scurried off to the bathroom to collect herself. Which was good because we were about to be shocked one last time before leaving.

Because we can't add.

We spent far more than the gift certificate, mostly because we were clueless about how much our beautiful new hair would cost. So we were a bit weak in the over-rubbed knees, experiencing quite an overwhelming response to our grand total. A total I will not reveal to you here. But if you'd like to send money, feel free to email me. I'll give all proceeds to Mackenzie with the Chunky Bangs. By the way, I think she looks hot with her new bangs, chunky or not.

Believe it or not, our day at the spa will be remembered well. I appreciate this lovely gift from my Auntie K more than words can say. And as she and I went over the day on the phone that night, we laughed and decided that in the future, maybe we'll just stick to going out for dinner.

Youd be surprised how differently she reacts, every time she is confronted with a similar situation. That would make a woman highly unpredictable. A whole lot interesting. And desirable. In the interview for the new issue of the Serbian "Hello!" magazine, Jelena Jankovic reveled her new love, Mladjan Janovic water polo player from Montenegro she met at the Olympic Games in Beijing. JJ said that she was single few months before the Olympics. She recently split with her longtime boyfriend Nemanja Mirković.

"There is someone special in my life, a man from Montenegro....Before I met Mladjan in Beijing, I was alone for several months." - said JJ.

JJ also added that she'll now go more often to Montenegro to visit her relatives there, and of course her boyfriend.

Mladjan Janovic plays now in "Primorac" from Kotor. He recently come back to Montenegro from French Marseille. He was one of the best Montenegro players at the Olympics in Beijing.

Now we know the reason for JJ's good play lately.

A rich forty year old man had a heart attack and had to undergo surgery. While he was on the operating table, he saw God. So he said, "Is this it?" and God said, "No," and explained that he still had another 10-20 years more to live.

So while he was in the hospital he decided that since he had only 10-20 years more, he might as well make the best of it. So he decided to have a tummy tuck, plastic surgery, nose implant, etc. He even had his favourite hair stylist come in and change his hair colour.

As he was leaving the hospital, he was run over and killed by an ambulance speeding to the hospital.

When he got to heaven, he said to God, "I thought you said I had another 10-20 years to live?" God then replied, "Well, I didn't recognize you.

In multiple instances, there are 2 symbols with the same romanization, so I marked one with an '*' to tell them apart. (the one marked is the one less commonly used in the language) This series of games is not meant to teach you Japanese on its own, it is meant to accompany a japanese course, to help learn and eliminate the need for writing flash cards.
